The 7th International PhD Meeting in Economics will be held at the University of Macedonia, which is located in Thessaloniki, Greece. For more information and maps please click here.

The conference will take place in the conference and teleconference rooms, 1st floor.

Participants qualify for a special rate in the following hotels. To benefit from these special rates, participants should contact directly the hotels (by phone or e-mail), mentioning that they are attending the "7th International PhD Meeting in Economics 2019", University of Macedonia. Notice that rooms are offered subject to availability. All prices are per room, per night.

Egnatia Palace Hotel and Spa (4*): single room 65€ , double room 75 €. All prices include breakfast, taxes and free WiFi.

Hotel ABC (3*): single room 56€ ,single room (interior view) 52€, double room 72€, double room (interior view) 66€. All prices include breakfast and taxes.

Hotel Luxembourg (3*): single room 61€ ,double room 76 €. Prices include breakfast, taxes and free WiFi.

* Please note that some hotels may charge an overnight tax rate which is not included in the price. The overnight tax rate is €4/night/room for the 5* hotels, €3/night/room for the 4* hotels and €1.5/night/room for the 3* hotels.

Travel Information

The airport of Thessaloniki is the International Airport "Makedonia", located 14 km from the city center. A public bus service (no. 01X and no. 01N night line) connects the airport with the center of the city at 20-minute intervals throughout the day and takes you to the center in less than 30 minutes (ticket costs 2€). A taxi service is also available at the airport on a 24-hour basis.
